How it works
The device's fine needles create controlled micro-injuries at a depth calibrated to your treatment goals, which signals your body to produce new collagen and elastin as it repairs the area. Serums applied during the session, often including hyaluronic acid or growth factors, absorb more deeply through these temporary channels than they would through intact skin. The actual needling takes fifteen to twenty minutes, with numbing cream applied beforehand to keep the treatment comfortable.

Numbing cream needs time to take effect, so plan for some wait time before the needling itself begins. Avoid retinol, strong acids, and other exfoliating products for a few days before your appointment, and let your provider know if you have any history of cold sores or active skin infections, since these need to be addressed before treatment.
What results to expect
You'll see mild redness immediately after treatment, similar to a sunburn, which typically fades within a day or two. The real results build gradually over the following weeks as your body produces new collagen, with continued improvement often visible for up to six to eight weeks after each session. A series of three to six sessions spaced several weeks apart tends to produce the most noticeable, lasting improvement in texture and fine lines.
Aftercare
Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for a day or two after treatment.
